Carbon-Negative Technology Drives Green Transformation: Rightway Supports L'Oréal's Packaging Upgrade

At the L'Oréal China 2025/2026 Development Strategy Communication Conference and the launch ceremony for the 2026 edition of the BIG BANG Beauty Tech Innovation Program, Rightway, recognized as a benchmark enterprise in the "Sustainable Innovation" track of BIG BANG, has become a core partner for L'Oréal in building a sustainable beauty ecosystem, leveraging technological prowess to reshape new low-carbon standards for beauty logistics packaging.

As a benchmark enterprise successfully incubated over the five-year journey of the BIG BANG program, Rightway has developed an innovative eco-friendly cushioning packaging material based on its proprietary carbon-negative modification technology. This material will be implemented within L'Oréal China's e-commerce delivery system, providing effective cushioning protection for beauty products during transport while achieving significant carbon and plastic reduction. Currently, the annual application of this new material in L'Oréal's logistics operations has resulted in over a 30% reduction in carbon emissions and a 33% decrease in virgin plastic usage, setting a exemplary case for the implementation of sustainable packaging in the beauty industry.

Building on the successful collaboration experience with L'Oréal China, Rightway is accelerating the global replication and expansion of its technological solutions. It has already initiated promotion and engagement in other countries and regional markets within the L'Oréal Group, exporting China's locally innovated green packaging solutions globally to support L'Oréal Group's goal of decarbonizing its entire supply chain and making sustainable packaging a global standard for the beauty industry.

Park Ji-sun, Chief Sustainability Officer for North Asia and China at L'Oréal, once commented that the core value of BIG BANG for startups lies in "scalability," and Rightway is the best testament to this value — achieving a triple breakthrough in technology, market, and global footprint through the scaling power of L'Oréal's volume, knowledge, and ecosystem, realizing a win-win for the beauty ecosystem.

As a key member of L'Oréal's open innovation ecosystem, Rightway will continue to deepen its innovation in green packaging. Leveraging the funding, technological, and global resource support from the BIG BANG platform, it will continuously optimize core technologies such as carbon-negative materials and bio-based packaging. Together with L'Oréal, Rightway will advance the global deployment of sustainable packaging, using technology to reduce the beauty industry's carbon footprint, jointly defining a new benchmark for "Green Beauty," and making sustainable innovation benefit global consumers and the planet's ecology.
