Highlights from Rightway’s RoadshowCarbon-Negative Tech Lands in Beer Supply Chain: Rightway Selected as Flagship Pilot for Budweiser China 100+ Innovation Center
At the L'Oréal China 2025/2026 Development Strategy Communication Conference and the launch ceremony for the 2026 edition of the BIG BANG Beauty Tech Innovation Program, Rightway, recognized as a benchmark enterprise in the "Sustainable Innovation" track of BIG BANG, has become a core partner for L'Oréal in building a sustainable beauty ecosystem, leveraging technological prowess to reshape new low-carbon standards for beauty logistics packaging.
As a standout startup team emerging from the 2025 pilot program of the Budweiser China 100+ Innovation Center, Rightway specializes in supplying carbon-negative eco-friendly materials for the consumer goods packaging industry. In this pilot, Rightway deployed its proprietary carbon-negative modification technology in air column bags for Budweiser’s e-commerce logistics, supplying a total of 20,000 square meters of these innovative packaging materials. While maintaining cost stability and product performance, the initiative effectively reduced plastic usage by approximately 7% and cut carbon emissions by about 8%, providing a tangible and viable pathway for Budweiser China’s green logistics transformation.
Ricardo Obara, Vice President of Sustainability and Procurement at Budweiser APAC
Ricardo Obara, Vice President of Sustainability and Procurement at Budweiser APAC, emphasized at the Demo Day that the 100+ Innovation Center’s collaboration with startups remains focused on "implementation efficacy and efficient synergy." Rightway’s pilot results vividly embody this philosophy—the application of carbon-negative materials enhances the environmental attributes of packaging while simultaneously realizing synergistic wins in ecological benefits and commercial value.
Andrea Brillembourg, Global Senior Manager of Sustainability
Andrea Brillembourg, Global Senior Manager of Sustainability at the 100+ Accelerator (Budweiser Group), further noted that since its launch in 2020, the 100+ Innovation Center has worked in deep alignment with the global 100+ Accelerator to propel high-potential startups onto the international stage. With its technical solution validated through Budweiser’s global resources and platform, Rightway is now advancing toward broader commercial application.
Highlight from Rightway’s Roadshow
Building on the success of the Budweiser China pilot, Rightway is accelerating the scaled replication and expansion of its carbon-negative packaging solutions throughout Budweiser’s supply chain system. Looking ahead, carbon-negative materials will be integrated into a wider range of products, including pallets and shrink films, deeply embedding them into Budweiser’s logistics network. This will support Budweiser Group’s goal of achieving full supply chain decarbonization and establish sustainable packaging as the new green standard for the beer and beverage industry.
As a key member of Budweiser China’s open innovation ecosystem, Rightway will continue to deepen its expertise in carbon-negative material technology. Supported by the pilot validation, industry engagement, and global network provided by the 100+ Innovation Center, Rightway will persistently refine its products and solutions. Collaborating closely with Budweiser China and its industry partners, Rightway is committed to driving the scaled implementation of sustainable packaging. By reducing product carbon footprints through technological strength, the company aims to co-build a collaborative, win-win green industrial ecosystem and provide replicable, actionable models for the green transformation of the industry.
