Rightway Attends WWD Global Sustainable Fashion Summit, Discussing New Pathways for Industrial Carbon Reduction

Amid a new cycle where energy conservation and carbon reduction have fully entered the phase of "mandatory governance," the 7th WWD CHINA Global Sustainable Fashion Summit was held at West Bund Central in Shanghai. Mr. Wu Jason, Partner of Zhejiang Rightway New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (Rightway), was invited to attend. He engaged in an in-depth roundtable dialogue with experts from academia, industry associations, and investment institutions regarding pathways for industrial transformation.

Roundtable Dialogue on Industrial Transformation Pathways

During the roundtable discussion focused on industrial transformation, the forum clearly stated that with the release of the national "Opinions on Higher Standards and Quality in Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction," the sustainable transformation of the fashion industry is being profoundly shaped by a complex system comprising policy frameworks, material breakthroughs, and capital allocation. The speed of progress depends on whether these three forces can achieve synergistic resonance—policies define boundaries, innovation opens paths, and capital determines scale. Only when they work in synergy can the industrial system truly achieve a leap forward. This consensus set the tone for the entire discussion.

As a practitioner and beneficiary of this synergy, Rightway shared its commercial achievements during the forum. In the consumer goods sector, through the Budweiser China 100+ Innovation Center platform, the company has achieved substantial progress in e-commerce logistics, reducing plastic usage by approximately 7% and carbon emissions by about 8%. In the beauty sector, leveraging the L'Oréal BIG BANG innovation platform, Rightway's innovative materials have been successfully applied in the "For Tomorrow" project, replacing over 1,000 tons of plastic bubble wrap annually in the logistics chain. This significantly reduces the use of virgin plastics and carbon emissions while maintaining cost parity.
